Who am I?
JIM BENOIT, a native of Niskayuna, New York, performs professionally throughout the United States as both a classical, jazz, and contemporary percussionist. While an undergraduate at the Berklee College of Music, Jim performed with a multitude of different ensembles, ranging from Timpani and Percussion in orchestras such as the Boston Pops, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, and Albany Symphony, to vibraphone and mallet percussion in both Phil Wilson’s internationally acclaimed Rainbow Band, and The WAITIKI 7. Jim recently finished performing on tour with the “Star Wars in Concert” Orchestra where he played in venues ranging from the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Texas to the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
